weekly recap
finding my way back to myself
Some weeks feel like a fresh start.
Not because something extraordinary happened, but because you begin to recognize yourself again.
After spending the past few weeks resting, reflecting, and figuring out what life looks like after graduation, I finally felt a shift this week.
Not a dramatic one.
Just enough to remind me that momentum doesn’t always arrive all at once.
Sometimes it begins with one small decision.
This week, I found the motivation to start applying for jobs again.
For a while, the process felt overwhelming. Every application carried the weight of “what’s next?” and it was easy to overthink every step. But this week, I stopped waiting to feel completely ready and started showing up anyway.
Progress doesn’t always begin with confidence.
Sometimes it begins with consistency.
I’ve also been cleaning and reorganizing my space, not because everything was messy, but because I wanted my environment to reflect the kind of peace I’m trying to create in my life.
It’s amazing how moving a few things around, donating what no longer serves you, and making room for what you love can make a home feel lighter.
As I’ve been making space around me, I’ve realized I’ve also been making space within me.
Space to create again.
One of the best parts of this week has been reconnecting with the creative parts of myself that were patiently waiting while I finished school.
I’ve started sketching ideas for creative projects, thinking more intentionally about LunaDreamer Creations, picking up my makeup brushes just because it sounded fun, and getting back into reading—not because there’s a quiz at the end, but because I genuinely missed getting lost in a good story.
Those little moments have reminded me that creativity isn’t just something I do.
It’s part of who I am.
I’ve also started taking myself on little self-dates again.
There’s something healing about slowing down long enough to enjoy your own company.
Whether it’s grabbing a coffee, wandering through a bookstore, sitting in a park with a book, or simply taking the long way home, I’m learning that I don’t have to wait for a special occasion to enjoy my life.
This summer, I’m giving myself permission to romanticize the ordinary.
One thing I’m especially excited about is planning a book crawl through Chicago.
Anyone who knows me knows that bookstores are one of my favorite places to be. There’s something magical about wandering through shelves, discovering authors you’ve never heard of, and leaving with a book you didn’t know you needed.
It feels like the perfect adventure for this season of life.
Maybe that’s what this summer is teaching me.
That healing isn’t only found in the hard conversations or the difficult days.
Sometimes it’s found in the quiet joy of rediscovering the things that make you feel like yourself.
A clean room.
A fresh notebook.
A new lipstick.
A stack of books.
A train ride into the city.
A dream that’s finally beginning to take shape.
This week wasn’t about crossing a finish line.
It was about remembering that life is made up of small moments, and those moments deserve to be celebrated too.
🎧 Soundtrack of the Week
“Golden” — Jill Scott
“Golden” has always felt like an invitation to fully embrace life—not just the big milestones, but the everyday moments that make us feel alive.
This week, it reminded me that joy doesn’t have to wait until everything is perfect.
It can exist right here, in the middle of becoming.

If you’re also rediscovering yourself this season, I hope you find time to do one thing this week simply because it brings you joy. Sometimes that’s the beginning of everything. 🌻✨
